Amazon and AVASK shipping and customs: see the new and improved booking system

3 min read

Shipping over the UK-EU border? It’s now easier than ever for our clients to book their shipments via Amazon.

Rolled out as one of the updates to our updated Amazon shipping and customs programme, there’s now no need for repetitive data entry, making your experience smoother and more streamlined. Here’s a closer look at the improvements we’ve made.

What’s new with the booking system?

Previously, booking shipments across the UK-EU border required entering ASIN information on Amazon Seller Central, obtaining the FBA reference, and then duplicating this information on the AVASK portal. Key changes include:

  • Use the AVASK portal only for payments and clearance invoices, not bookings
  • Store commercial invoices on Seller Central
  • Booking approvals or rejections will be given with reasons, and suggested fixes provided
  • Book shipping on Seller Central: Refer to the shipping guides for detailed instructions

With the new system, you can now manage everything directly through Seller Central.  To do this, simply update the “Manage Your Compliance” section on Amazon Seller Central, and you can submit your bookings without repeating details like ASINs, country of origin, and commodity codes.

The new API integration allows seamless processing

Our new API connection between Seller Central and the AVASK client portal allows us to process bookings more efficiently. This integration means we can approve or reject your bookings faster and handle the shipment brokerage fee collection seamlessly. Whether you’re shipping from the UK to Amazon FBA in the EU or vice versa, this new process ensures quicker and more efficient bookings.

How does the new booking system work?

To help you navigate the new process, read our updated shipping guides for the shipping solution you’re using.

  • UPS-AVASK Shipment Guide (PDF): create and export shipments, manage your shipment, and make payments using the UPS AVASK small-parcel shipping & customs clearance solution.
  • ATS-AVASK Shipment Guide (PDF): create and export shipments, manage your shipment, and make payments using the Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) AVASK small-parcel shipping & customs clearance solution for shipping between the UK and EU
  • Customs Clearance Guide (PDF): for creating your shipment on the Send to Amazon workflow

Remember: the first shipment might take a bit of time to set up, but the system saves your information – making future bookings much more streamlined.

Watch: how do you connect the Amazon marketplace to the AVASK client portal?

Where can you get further support and guidance?
